BDC (Business Development Center)
Welcome to the Business Development Center (BDC). The BDC was developed by the Community Association of Regional Enterprises (CARE) as a small service business incubator. CARE operates as a nonprofit, 501C3 corporation and owns the Truman Regional Education Center and Business Development Center. As a tenant of the BDC, your small service business can grow in our protected environment and benefit from a wide array of available services and amenities. If you and your business qualify, CARE and the BDC will work with you to realize your dreams of business ownership.
BDC Definition of a Business Incubator
Business incubators are programs that nurture start-up businesses by providing hands-on management assistance, access to financing, and exposure to critical business or technical support services. They typically offer shared office services, access to equipment, flexible leases, and space – all under one roof.

C.A.R.E. (Community Association of Regional Enterprises)
The Community Association of Regional Enterprises (CARE) is a nonprofit, 501 C3 corporation registered in the State of Missouri. Our mission is to promote education and economic development in the area we serve in central and west central Missouri. CARE is operated by a seven member Board of Directors. All tenants are approved by the Board after review of the prospective tenant’s submitted proposal and business plan. If approved, the tenant may open their service related business in our facility for a period of up to two years.
